Who I am
I am an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children and their families to meet their individual goals and have a good quality of life. I have experience working with toddlers, children and teenagers, with a range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome and Global Developmental Delay. I am committed to building meaningful and therapeutic relationships with each and every client and their significant others, which is essential to support them to achieve their goals.
I take a collaborative approach to therapy and enjoy working in the community, within clients’ natural environments, routines and relationships. My therapy interventions include, but are not limited to, supporting the development of milestones, self-care and activities of daily living, school participation, play, social interactions, mealtimes, sleep, routines, transitions, sensory processing, emotional regulation, positive behaviour support, parent and teacher education and support, prescribing assistive technology and completing funding applications.
